Understanding SwiftScan's Smart Naming and Default File Name Feature
The Smart Naming feature offers a personalized way to name your scanned documents. By default, if you're not using SwiftScan Pro, your scans will have a standard naming convention that includes the term "SwiftScan" followed by the date and time.
How to Set Up Smart Naming
- Navigate to Settings.
- Under Advanced Settings, tap Name Template.
- Here, you can combine custom placeholders you may have created with pre-defined placeholders such as time, date elements, or location details like street or city.
- Note: If you choose location-related placeholders, SwiftScan Pro will ask for location access to fetch data like the city or zip code. Below your selected placeholders, a preview will show how your file names will appear.
Finalizing Your Naming Scheme
After customizing your desired file name format, tap Save. This format will now be the default for all future scans. It's essential to use supported characters in your file names to ensure seamless uploads to cloud services. Avoid using characters like €, $? / or emojis as some cloud platforms may reject them, causing errors.
