Set App Permissions
Upon installing SwiftScan, you will be prompted to set several permissions:

Camera: Enable access to your device's camera. This allows SwiftScan to take pictures for scanning documents.

Photos/Media/Files: Grant permission to access your photos, media, and files. This ensures that SwiftScan can save scans and retrieve documents.

Storage: Enable access to your device's storage for organizing and storing your scans.

Getting to Know the Interface
1. Scan - Initiate a new scan, capturing the image of your document. | |
2. Cancel - Abort the current scanning process and return to the Scanned Documents page. | |
3. Import - Bring in existing images or documents from your device's storage or cloud services. | |
4. Multi-Page - Combine multiple scans into a single document. | |
5. Flash - Activate your device's flash as a light source to improve scan quality in low-light conditions. | |
6. Automatic - Automatically detect document edges and capture the scan without manual input. |
Scanning a New Document in SwiftScan
Scanning a new document in SwiftScan is simple and efficient.
- First, open the Document Scanner by tapping the Plus + button.
- Tap the Automatic button to automate the scanning process (optional).
- Position your device's camera over the document. SwiftScan will automatically detect the document's edges and take the picture. If Automatic is not enabled, tap the Scan (camera icon) button to initiate your scan.
- Edit the scan if needed (crop, adjust brightness, add pages, rotate, etc.).
- Tap the Save button in the upper-right corner of the screen to save the scan to your preferred location or share it directly from the app.
Access Scanned Documents Page
To manage your scanned documents effectively:
- From the Document Scanner, tap Cancel at the bottom of the screen.
- This action will open the Scanned Documents page, providing a centralized hub for organizing and retrieving your scans.
Integrating with Cloud Storage
SwiftScan supports integration with cloud storage solutions such as Google Drive, Dropbox, and more. To add these storage options:
- Open the SwiftScan app.
- Tap the 3-dot icon in the upper-right corner of the screen.
- Look for the "Settings" option then "Cloud Services."
- Choose the cloud storage service you want to integrate.
- Follow the prompts to connect your account.
