SwiftScan (iOS): AI File Naming
SwiftScan for iOS now includes AI File Naming, making it easier to organize your scanned documents. This Premium feature automatically suggests clear, relevant file names based on the content of each scan, helping you stay organized with less effort.
Supported devices & Requirements
AI Name Filing relies on Apple Intelligence and is available only on supported devices running iOS 26 or higher.
You can find the full list of compatible devices and requirements here: Apple List of supported devices.
How to Use AI File Naming
-
Scan a document
Open SwiftScan and scan your document as usual. -
Tap on the File Name
After scanning, tap the file name field at the top of the screen. -
Select “Generate File Name” under AI File Name
Choose Generate File Name to let SwiftScan automatically create a smart, descriptive file name.
AI File Naming can be used for both newly scanned documents and existing files in your library. You can generate a smart file name at any time by tapping the file name field and selecting the AI option.
Saving Files to Cloud Services
- SwiftScan allows you to automatically name your files using AI File Naming or Smart File Naming before uploading them to your cloud service.
- When saving to a cloud service, each upload is treated as a new file. SwiftScan does not overwrite or update existing files in your cloud storage, even if the file name is the same.
- If you rename a document after it has already been uploaded, the updated version will be saved as a separate file.
